Critic tasting note: (2021 vintage) "Winemaker Steve Rogstad is a Carneros treasure, having worked at La Crema, Saintsbury, and Clos Pegase before taking over at Cuvaison over two decades ago. His mantra is seamlessness while ensuring the wines capture the essence of the AVA. The Cuvaison pinot site basks in the daily winds that sweep off San Pablo Bay, keeping the site cool. The nose is packed with red plums and sweet strawberries with a cranberry pinch that helps contain a California richness that can overwhelm other pinots.
